Mrs. Lisa Kieselhorst

Lisa and her family have been living in Watertown since she and her husband were married 28 years ago. They have come to love the community and its people.

Lisa and her husband, Nate, have eight children. Their oldest son, Phil, is an electrical engineer. He and his wife, Victoria, live in West Allis, Wisconsin. Nate and Lisa’s second son, Jake, will be moving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to begin his vicar year. Micah and his wife, Megan, will be completing their last year of schooling at Martin Luther College and await Calls this spring. Grace will be a junior at MLC, and Anna will be a freshman. Matthew is a sophomore at Luther Preparatory School, and Elizabeth (Libby) will begin her freshman year. Eden will be a seventh grader here at St. John’s Lutheran School.

Lisa graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in 1993 and was called to teach grades 7-8 at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in New Ulm MN. She and Nate married and moved to Watertown, after Nate accepted a Call to teach history at Luther Preparatory School. Lisa taught piano lessons and coached volleyball at LPS until their first son was born. Lisa stayed home to raise their children full-time. She returned to the classroom and has since taught her children and the students at LPS until the present.

Lisa is absolutely thrilled and honored to be able to teach the first graders at St. John’s Lutheran School. One of her favorite things to do is to share Jesus with children. She loves to read and learn, and she can’t wait to share those passions with her students.
