Mrs. Amy Sievert

Mrs. Amy Sievert is blessed to be the First Grade Teacher at St. John’s Lutheran School.

Amy graduated  from  Dr. Martin Luther College in 1995 with a degree in elementary education.  DMLC  is also the place where she met her husband  Nate.   After they were married in 1995, they both served at Martin Luther in Neenah, WI.  During Amy’s time there, she taught second and third grades and also gave private piano lessons.  In 2000, Amy’s family relocated to Wildomar, CA where Nate served at California Lutheran High School.  While in California Amy served at St. Stephen’s Lutheran School in Fallbrook, CA where she taught preschool, gave private piano lessons, and also did principal relief time in the upper grades.   Saint Joseph, Michigan became the Sievert’s home between the years of 2007 – 2018.  Amy continued teaching piano lessons, was privileged to be a para-professional in the public school system for 2 years, and then a full time high school administrative assistant at Michigan Lutheran High School from 2012 to June 2018.    Amy was recently recertified in the WELS Schools System.

Amy and  Nate have three children:   Samuel is in his third year at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.,  Olivia recently graduated from Michigan Lutheran and will be attending Michigan State University in the fall.  Makenzie is entering eighth grade in the fall at St. John’s. 

During free time Amy enjoys hiking, being outdoors, traveling, coaching and being with family and  friends.
