As a family united in faith by the Holy Spirit, we exist to worship and praise the Triune God, to be nurtured through His Word and Sacraments, and to share His love in Christ with others.
Visitor Guide - A Note from our Pastor
Welcome to all the visitors to St. John's website:
As one of the pastors at St. John's I hope that you will feel welcome to our website. In spite of the fact that I have been working with computers in my role as a pastor for over 20 years, I know that they can still make you feel uncomfortable at times just trying to get around. We hope that you will find our site easy to navigate and helpful in your search.
St. John's is a confessional Lutheran congregation that is part of the confessional Lutheran synod that is known as the WELS, or the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. By the term, confessional Lutheran, we wish everyone to understand that we are committed to the same statement of faith that Dr. Martin Luther and the other Lutheran Reformers to which they were willing to sign their life. The Bible is God's inspired and inerrant Word from which we are taught all the truths that God desires us to know. First and foremost among those truths is that we are rescued from the guilt and punishment that our sins have earned solely by the undeserved forgiveness won for us by Jesus Christ, our Rescuer and Ransomer. Out of that truth all of the rest of God's truths flow. You can see a statement of what we belief on our website under "Our Beliefs". If you have any questions that we can answer, don't hesitate to contact either Pastor Rodney Warnecke or myself. We will be glad to sit down with you and let God's word speak to your questions and concerns.
We would also like to invite you to our worship services. In the rich liturgy and the Word of God proclaimed and preached, we pray that everyone of our worshipers will be brought closer to their Lord and Savior God. We preach the whole counsel of God's Word - both Law and Gospel - and desire that hearts may be comforted in the "Good News" that God's forgiveness in Christ Jesus may be yours. Because we are a) concerned that all who partake of the Lord's Supper trust in Jesus as their Savior, and b) know that Christ body and blood are truly present in this precious meal, and that c) they are united with us in one common shared and confessed faith, we ask our visitors to speak with one of the pastors to prepare to receive this Sacrament to their blessing.
I hope that you find our website helpful in answering your questions. Again feel free to contact us at your leisure.
Yours in Christ Jesus's service,
Pastor John F. Boehringer
