As a family united in faith by the Holy Spirit, we exist to worship and praise the Triune God, to be nurtured through His Word and Sacraments, and to share His love in Christ with others.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes meet from the Sunday after Labor Day through May until the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend. Classes for children age three through 2nd Grade are held in the church basement. Grades 3-8 meet in the school.
Because of its importance, all of our children attending public school are expected to attend Sunday School prior to their years in the Confirmation Class, grades 6-8. This gives them the opportunity to learn Bible stories and begin memory work. Parochial day school children are also encouraged to attend.
The 2010-2011 Sunday School Staff is:
- Preschool (3-4 yr. olds) – Kris Lamp
- Kindergarten – 2nd Grade - Karen Sherry
- Grades 3-4 - Kellie Rogers
- Grades 5-6 – Morgan Kumbier.
We thank all those who serve as teacher helpers and nursery helpers.
Sunday School offering envelopes are provided for our children. This year (2010-2011) our offerings will go to one home mission and or one foreign mission, to be decided. We thank the children along with their parents in remembering to bring your offerings for us to assist these missions. Last year our offerings ($500.00) were sent to the Recreation and Outreach Center (ROC) for Youth here in Watertown.
