At St. John's, our mission is to equip children of Jesus for this life and the life to come. Therefore, our entire curriculum is taught from the perspective of God’s Truth as found in the Bible. Our graduates are well-prepared to face the challenges and opportunities of this earthly life with an accurate Biblical perspective on the world around them. And our graduates are also well-prepared to meet their Savior and enter the eternal joys of the life to come.

Specific curriculum areas include:

  • In-depth study of God’s Word in the Bible
  • Reading and writing
  • Language and spelling
  • History and geography
  • Mathematics
  • Technology
  • Science
  • Music and visual art
  • Physical education

We also offer extended learning programs in areas such as reading, math, and organizational skills. Our goal is to accommodate students of all ability levels as much as possible, whether they need more challenging work or extra review of concepts.

In the lower grades, students stay with their classroom teachers most of the day, providing stability and consistency. In the upper grades, students have a homeroom and a homeroom teacher, but they also benefit from teachers who specialize in certain curriculum areas. These “departmentalized” classes include science, geography and history, art, music, computers, and physical education.
